Maylen's 4 months

Maylen is 4 months. Even though she cooperated better for pictures this time, she still wouldn't smile, maybe next month. I took her to the Dr. on Monday Nov. 24 she weighed 13 lbs. 13 oz. and was 23.5 inches long. The new thing she has started to do is laugh, she did it first when grandma P. was watching her and we have only got her to do it once more, she sounds so cute.

Daisy and Princess

Our animals are crazy. Mikiya's cat Princess is always trying to nurse off our dog Daisy. The funny part is, Daisy is just barely a year old, has never had puppies and has been spayed. Daisy gets sick of trying to fight her off, and will finally just lay down and let her.

MaLea's Gus and Gussie Graduation

On November 17, 2008 MaLea graduated from Gus and Gussie. She has learned so much, at home we have seen her using some of the skills she has learned. They taught her a few songs one called "I Like Myself" and the other "Never Give Up", it's been fun to hear her sing these songs.

MaLea's Gus and Gussie group

The county has a program they teach called Gus and Gussie. They come to the school's who request their program and teach the first graders. It is a ten week course that meets once a week. It teaches coping skills, and positive self esteem. Mikiya was able to participate in it when they were just starting it 5 years ago. MaLea loved it, and always looked forward to going to school on those days.

Maylen's 3 month picture

We finally got Maylen's 3 month old pictures back. We sure hope she gets better at taking pictures, every month we have had to take her in for two sitting appointments, just to get one picture. Maylen is sure smiling a lot, she coo's and makes all kinds of noise, we all just love it. She is able to roll from her tummy to her back, and has rubbed the hair off the back of her head, it looks as though she has a bowl cut. She has been so fun, and we all agree a great addition to our family.

Halloween 2008

Halloween this year was so much fun!

This was Maylen's first Halloween, we had so much fun dressing her up as a cute little lady bug. MaLea was a fairy, she was so cute, after trick or treating for a short time she was ready to go home. Mikiya was a flapper, she got several compliments on her costume while trick or treating.
